Ballata dei Gigli di Barra, the dancing towers festival

Eight towers of wood and papier-mâché, more than 25 metres tall, dance on the shoulders of hundreds of bearers from morning until late at night. Go in the evening, when the crews (paranze) compete with music, and on Monday 28 from 8pm it's the turn of the women's and children's towers.
