Every Saturday, Coldiretti farmers set up their stalls in piazza Mercadante: seasonal fruit and veg, buffalo mozzarella, cured meats, honey, wine and wood-fired bread. Bring a big bag, and once autumn arrives try the chestnuts and friarielli, the slightly bitter local greens.
