The San Carlo's 2026-27 season, the one marking 290 years, opens on 2 December with Verdi's Luisa Miller: Daniel Oren on the podium, Davide Livermore directing, and Piotr Beczała making his Naples debut. Seven performances through to the 10th, two hours and three quarters with an interval. The opening night costs double the others: if you just want the opera, go for the 5th or the 6th and leave the gala evening to those who go for the occasion.
