Underground Naples below the Quartieri Spagnoli, priority entry

What you’ll do

You show up at the entrance in the Quartieri Spagnoli and, with the priority ticket, go in with preferential access. The guide gathers the group, ten people at most, explains how the descent works and you start heading down into the cavities under the neighbourhood.

Underground you follow the guide for about an hour through tunnels and carved-out rooms, as they tell the story of these spaces and the mysteries the neighbourhood has built on top of them. In a small group you hear everything and can ask questions. At the end you come back up at the same point where you went in.

Who it’s for

For anyone short on time or after something brief to slot in between Via Toledo and the Quartieri: one hour and you’re out. Small group, so you can hear the guide well. There are steps down and back up: if stairs are hard for you or you don’t like enclosed spaces, bear that in mind before booking.
