What you’ll do
You meet in the morning at the port of Naples, at Molo Beverello, or mid-morning directly at Marina Grande if you're already on the island. First up is the boat: a full one-hour loop around Capri in a gozzo, with the caves, the coves and the Faraglioni seen from the water. It's the part that stays with you longest.
Once ashore, a minibus takes you up to Anacapri, the upper part of the island. You have about two hours here: the village is easy to explore on foot, and you can take the chairlift up Monte Solaro (extra cost) or stop for something to eat. Then it's down to Capri town: the Piazzetta, the boutique-lined lanes and the Giardini di Augusto, the terrace with the best view of the Faraglioni.

For anyone who wants it all in one go: sea, Anacapri and Capri town, without piecing it together themselves. The guide speaks English, Spanish and Italian. It's wheelchair accessible and suitable for all fitness levels, and pushchairs are allowed. Groups are up to twenty people. If you get seasick, think carefully about the hour on the boat.
Local tip
Bring sunglasses, sun cream and a hat: there's no shade on a gozzo for an hour. Wear walking shoes, as there are plenty of steps between Anacapri and Capri's lanes. If you book the option starting from Capri, you buy your own ferry ticket. Lunch isn't included: Anacapri, with its two hours, is the place to eat.
