What you’ll do

You meet at the pier on Via Caracciolo, on the seafront, where the boat is waiting. You set off in the late afternoon and head straight for Castel dell'Ovo, then along the Via Caracciolo waterfront and the Posillipo hill. Your host tells the story of the city from the sea: the history of the clifftop villas, Villa Rosebery, the myths of the bay.

Once at Trentaremi bay, in front of the old tuff quarries, the boat stops. Time for a swim, with snorkelling masks on board for anyone who wants them, and then the aperitivo: a spritz or a soft drink, bruschetta with fresh tomato and Neapolitan fried snacks, with music on board.

The ride back coincides with the actual sunset: the city lights come on as you head back to the pier. You can book a shared small-group version or a private one if you're with a group. The length may vary with the weather, and the commentary on board may be in two languages at once.

Who it’s for

The right choice for couples and groups of friends who want an evening on the water without chartering a whole boat. Fine with teenagers too, if accompanied by an adult.
