What you’ll do
You board the vintage boat and head out towards the Posillipo hill. Along the way the guide tells the city's legends and the stories behind the places you see from the water, while the skipper keeps to the coast. It's the time to ask questions and see the city from a side you can't see on foot.
Below Posillipo you stop for the first swim: mask and snorkel are provided, plus a wetsuit in the colder months. Non-swimmers can get in the water around the boat with flotation aids. Then you carry on to Villa Lauro, where you snorkel and land on a little beach with a spring of drinkable mineral water.
On the way back comes the aperitivo: a beer, a snack and the view across the bay. There's an extra drink if you want one. You're back at the starting point after about three hours, on the shared or private option you chose when booking.
Who it’s for
For anyone who only has a weekend but still wants the sea and a boat without going as far as the islands; for couples and groups of friends, with the private option if there are lots of you. Not allowed: children under two, pregnant women, anyone weighing over 130 kg, anyone over 70 or with pre-existing medical conditions.
Local tip
Wear your swimsuit from home, and bring a towel, hat and sun cream: the sun on the water is fierce. If you get seasick, bring something to take before boarding. In summer the 6pm departure has the best light on the bay. The exact meeting point comes after booking and depends on the option chosen.
