Naples pizza and tiramisù cooking class with a wood-fired oven
Old town
Apron and hat + your pizza and tiramisù
Most popular · 3 hours
A cooking class in a restaurant in the centre, a short walk from the port and the Teatro San Carlo, where you learn fresh pasta from scratch and tiramisù step by step. You start with a glass of prosecco and a Neapolitan starter, cook with the apron and tools provided, and at the end you eat what you’ve made, with a tasting of limoncello or coffee and amaro (a herbal liqueur). The group is small, and the class comes with a certificate and digital recipes. It runs every day except Sunday.

You meet at the restaurant. It starts with a welcome glass, prosecco or alcohol-free, and a Neapolitan starter, while the pastry chef who runs the class explains the plan. Then it’s aprons on and on to the pasta: dough kneaded by hand from scratch, rolled out and shaped with traditional Neapolitan tools, every step demonstrated before you do it.
Part two is the tiramisù, from the cream to the assembly, with a tasting of limoncello or meloncello (the melon version), or espresso and amaro. You can ask questions in Italian, English, Spanish or French. Water is unlimited throughout. The group is capped at sixteen people, and everyone actually cooks rather than just watching.
At the end you sit down and eat your own pasta and tiramisù, which make a proper lunch or dinner. You get a diploma and the recipes in digital form, so you can make them again at home. The hands-on part takes about two and a half hours; with the welcome and the meal it comes to three. Free luggage storage is available if you arrive with a suitcase.
Ideal for couples, families and solo travellers who want to meet people: you cook side by side and eat together. Also great on your arrival or departure day, thanks to the luggage storage. Not suitable for coeliacs, people with food allergies or diabetics. Babies under one aren’t allowed; older children tend to love the tiramisù part most.
Local tip
Come hungry, because what you cook is a full meal. Mention any intolerances when you book so they can set up your station. The restaurant is near the port and the Teatro San Carlo: before or after, take in the Galleria Umberto, Palazzo Reale and Piazza del Plebiscito, all a few minutes’ walk away.
Prosecco + starter + diploma.
Price, availability and details come straight from GetYourGuide and are kept up to date. If you book through us, we get a small commission; it costs you nothing extra.
Explanations are in Italian and English, and the person running the class also speaks Spanish and French. The group is small, so it’s easy to ask for a step to be repeated. It runs every day except Sunday and lasts about three hours.
A welcome glass of prosecco or a soft drink, a Neapolitan starter, all the ingredients and tools, an apron to use, water, a tasting of limoncello or meloncello or coffee and amaro, the meal with the dishes you’ve made, the diploma with digital recipes, and luggage storage. Transport and tips aren’t included.
Not for coeliacs or anyone with serious food allergies: you work with flour, eggs, dairy and coffee in a shared space. The tiramisù isn’t recommended for diabetics. For other needs, it’s best to mention them when booking. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
