An evening round the bars of the old town and the Quartieri Spagnoli (the Spanish Quarter) with a guide and a group of strangers who won't be strangers by the end of the night. You start at Toledo metro station, hit three or four bars, listen to street musicians in the squares and play ice-breaker games. It's over-18s only and lasts about two and a half hours, rain or shine.

What you’ll do
Meet in front of Toledo metro station, on Via Toledo. From there you walk towards the old town. The group stops at three or four bars chosen because Neapolitans actually drink there and prices are local; the guide points out the best deals and tells you where it's worth paying cash.
Between bars you cross the squares where street musicians play in the evening, and the guide gets everyone playing group games, some of them fairly odd, to get strangers talking. The route goes as far as the Quartieri Spagnoli. If you're hungry, grab a pizza a portafoglio (a pizza folded in four) on the street.
If you want a late one, at the end of the crawl you can be taken to a nightclub, with a separate entry fee paid on the door that includes a cocktail. Drinks along the way are paid for at the bar. About 150 minutes in all.
Who it’s for
For solo travellers or couples who want to meet people, and for groups of friends who don't know where to go on their first night. Over-18s only. Not for anyone after a quiet evening or wanting to learn the history of the lanes: here you drink, play games and walk. Sandals and flip-flops aren't allowed.
Local tip
Have dinner first, or factor in a pizza a portafoglio: it's a boozy outing. Carry cash for the best deals. Toledo metro is easy to reach and, before you start, the station itself and Via Toledo are worth a look. Book ahead at weekends, it fills up.
