All through December, piazza San Francesco a Capuana fills with stalls run by hobbyists and craftspeople selling decorations, nativity figures and gift ideas, open from 8am to midnight. It's a good excuse to see the Porta Capuana area in a different light: walk there from the station and stop for dinner at one of the neighbourhood's restaurants.
